A ghost story with a kind of good plot. Better than some others that I know of. Jack, a 12 year old boy with asthma. He and his mother, Sarah, moved into an old house, which they don't know is haunted by ghosts. Well at least his mother doesn't. Jack has an abillity when he touches things he knows about the person that died there. Sometimes he even gets to see that person's memories. The ghost children that live there are excited and scared for him at the same time. Excited cause they get to meet someone new. Scared because Ghost Mother has her eyes on Jack and wants to make him her son(you will understand when reading it. I suck at summaries). It was different which I have nothing against. The description was fantastic! It was like a spooky movie and you were there(to me that is. I hope you think so too). And it's not your typical ghost with the normal body, stayed behind because of unfinished business. It is an original. The characters, he did pretty good, but I just think he could have done better. Like Jack's feelings on his father's death more because that is played a lot in here. More stuff about Sarah too. Mostly the ghost children because, yeah he did their personallity good, but he never explained really how they died. Kind of left me hanging. All in all though it was greatly developed nicely, and definately a fast paced book. So don't let the number of pages scare you. It will go by so fast! Hope you read it!!!
